Eid ul Adha Greetings

Eid ul-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى ‘Īd al-’Aḍḥā) is one of two Eid festivals that Muslims celebrate. It is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael for God. Others celebrate Eid ul-Adha as it marks the end of the Pilgrimage or Hajj for the millions of Muslims who make the trip to Mecca each year.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone from our family. We were supposed to go to spend Christmas with Nonna and Nonno but since I have the chickenpox we have to stay home. Hopefully I will be better and no longer contagious soon so that I can see them.

I don't have the Chicken Pox

It's been one thing after another for me. I had my third visit in the last three days to the Children's Afterhours Clinic. We went in because of a rash all over me that wasn't going away. My parents thought it might have been a reaction to the antibiotic (Amoxicillin) which I had to take for my ear infection. Amoxicillin is a Penicillin based antibiotic and my mom is allergic to penicillin. My rash wasn't going away even though we had stopped the antibiotic yesterday (as per the Doctors instructions since my ear infection was better). The Doctor at the Clinic says that I have the Chicken Pox! My parents have their doubts though.
** Update - Dec 25 **
The rash is going away so my parents are pretty sure that it wasn't the Chicken Pox.

Happy Holidays

I say "No" (by shaking my head)

While my mom tries to feed me, I start shaking my head saying "No" because I don't want to eat anymore. Well, I started shaking my head only recently (since my ear infection) so we aren't sure whether it might be because of my ears.

I have an ear infection

My fever kept climbing today despite the regular tylenol so my parents took me to the Children's Afterhours Clinic this evening to see a doctor. They determined that I have an ear infection so I have started antibiotics right away.

I am sick so I might not be able to update my blog for a few days until I am better. I have a fever but infant tylenol seems to be helping it.

We were at Costco the other day and I sampled some Nutella. I liked it! Maybe I should be the next Nutella spokesbaby.

Got a new winter coat

I got a new winter coat, but I am not sure if my mom will keep it as I fought her when she put it on me. We will give it one more try soon hopefully. It is for 24mth olds - the 18 mth old one was a bit too snug.

I ate an apple

I used my two bottom teeth (which are my only teeth) to bite into my Dad's apple.

Our first day of snow was Dec 5 but it was just a light frosting compared to the 50cms that we got today. It shut our city down.

I am 10 months old

I have definitely grown taller (you can tell by how my pants fit me) & I certainly feel heavier than before. Daddy weighed me in at a little over 24lb and measured me in at 77cm. That's a gain of about 1/2lb and 2cm for the month. I eat with my parents at every meal.

I gave my pacifier to my Mommy

I am being a very generous baby when offering my pacifier to my Mommy. We call it a choochi. I am nearly 10 months old here. 2006-06-04
